Our journey in the rice business began in the early 1960s, when our family, led by my father, Late Debidutt Agarwal, migrated from a small village in Dooars to Siliguri in North Bengal. He started this journey by launching a wholesale trading business in Siliguri. Within years, he established a successful trading house in the wholesale market of Siliguri covering the Dooars region in North Bengal, adjoining Bihar, Assam, Sikkim, and Nepal. With his growing knowledge and experience in business, he simultaneously operated a Rice Mill in Sansichare, Jhapa Anchal in Nepal for around 12 years. As we grew, we secured a stronghold in the rice markets of Dooars, Bihar, Assam, Sikkim, and Nepal
